Each collaboration room is equipped with a 37" LCD monitor connected to a Dell PC, which has identical software to the rest of the PC's in the Krieger Lab. There is also a VGA cable that can be used to connect a personal laptop to the system.
Guidelines & Instructions
Use of the collaboration rooms is limited to currently enrolled students of Johns Hopkins only. Usage of the collaboration rooms MUST be scheduled prior to entry into the rooms. Please go to the front desk of the Krieger Lab to schedule a block of time. You will need to present your J-Card at time of reservation.
Collaboration rooms may only be reserved for 2 consecutive hours. After 2 hours, you must go to front desk to reserve additional time if it is available.
The collaboration rooms are for group use only with a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 6. Usage of a room by a single user is not permitted.
By default, the desktop computer location in the collaboration room displays on the monitor.
To display you laptop on the room monitor, connect the laptop to the laptop video cord located in front of the monitor. Send the laptop image from the laptop to the monitor. Your laptop image will automatically show on the monitor.
Use of the collaboration rooms is limited to JHU academic work. Non-academic work is not permitted.
Discussions within each room are permitted, but the sound level of discussion must not disturb users in the Krieger Lab.
Lab monitors reserve the right to expel collaboration room users for excessive noise and non-academic activities.
Prior to leaving the collaboration room, users are required to restore the room to a clean and orderly manner. Please dispose of any trash and neatly rearrange the seats located within the rooms. Failure to restore a collaboration room may result in a denial of usage in the future.
