The Johns Hopkins University Cycling Team is Baltimore’s premier collegiate cycling club, with a long legacy dating back to the 1970s. Hopkins Cycling is the hub of all cycling related activities on campus. Although our primary focus is road racing each spring in the Atlantic Collegiate Cycling Conference, we are also dedicated to getting more people around campus on their bicycles by making Homewood campus and the surrounding Baltimore communities a safer place for cyclists. We work hard to develop new riders into strong cyclists and proud ambassadors of the cycling community.
Coming off a strong 2012 season, the 2013 season is shaping up to be even stronger. Led by Junior Mike Martin, a number of strong racers from the 2012 season will be returning to compete once again. Including Rosemary Mallonee, Captain of the women’s squad, and Andrew Sugochki of the Kelly Benefit Strategies Elite team. A number of incoming freshman will round out the squad and hopefully make 2013 the most successful season to date. Our goal this season is to make a return to collegiate nationals, which will be held in Ogden, Utah.
Whether you’re a student, alumni, or member of the greater Baltimore cycling community, Hopkins Cycling has something to offer. Please, feel free to contact us for more info, join the squad, or support our efforts by sponsoring us.
