I develop and characterize biophysical assays to study how collagen concentration affects the growth of multicellular cancer spheroids embedded in completely 3D environments. I’m particularly interested in mimicking and understanding the complex interplay between the extracellular matrix near a growing tumor and locally invading cancer cells.
