Breast Exam

After reviewing your personal and menstrual history, your clinician will examine your breasts. Dressed in a gown, you will lie on your back on the examination table. Using her hands, your clinician will check your breasts for any abnormalities or irregularities such as lumps, thickenings, or discharge. While most irregularities are not cancerous, your clinician may want to do some additional testing.. If you are at least 20 years old, you should perform a breast self-exam at least one time a month.
